VACANCY POSTING

CLASSIFICATION: Custodian II-BBHES

EFFECTIVE: January 12, 2026

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 11:00 am-7:30 pm (8 hours per day)

STARTING WAGE: $17.93-$18.65

BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Prescription, Vision, and Life Insurance

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Related experience
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
• Practical, active listening skills
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of heating and cooling systems
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Training in the proper care and storage of chemicals, e.g., OSHA/PERRAC training
• Ability to read written instructions, warnings, and labels, and understand verbal directions
• Mechanically inclined with an attitude to do minor repairs, evaluate and assess mechanical concerns, and report the problems to the Head Custodian for further evaluation
• Acceptance of building use and the need for flexibility in cleaning schedules
